Research has shown that the process of psychotherapy may be helpful with the following issues:
Most people come to therapy for the first time when they have a sense that the life they are currently living is in need of serious change. They are looking for a qualified professional with both experience and sensitivity that will be able to help them sort through existing problems, traumatic events, depressive states, or other unresolved issues that may threaten to overwhelm or otherwise impinge on their ability to live in a state of general wellbeing.
Finding the right therapist to meet your needs is not an easy task. In order to help make your search easier, I offer an initial consultation to help you evaluate whether we may be well-suited to work together: it is important to find a psychotherapist who understands your concerns, and with whom you believe you can come to build a relationship of openness and trust. A first meeting also allows you to begin to assess our potential to develop a meaningful and healing connection. Without these key essential ingredients, it is impossible for any therapy to be effective.
In the course of my practice, I see a range of adult and adolescent individuals with a broad spectrum of issues including marital and relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, anger management, general depression, adoption issues [pre - and post -placement adoptive parents and adult adoptees], unmanageable stress and bullying in both work and school environments.
I also have extensive training and experience dealing with chronic anxiety and panic, persistent suicidal thoughts, sexual abuse and violence, as well as sexual dysfunction and patterns of addictive and/or self-destructive behaviour.
The best way to begin this process is to take a moment to Contact Me through this website, or telephone +086 173 5716 so we can arrange to discuss your situation in person and in confidence.
